Aegisound is committed to providing maximum hearing protection, reliable communications and head protection for employees who work in extreme ambient noise environments.
Starting in 2001, the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force committed to the development of better hearing protection, with funding provided under Defense Technology Objective HS-33. Our affiliate design company, Adaptive Technologies, Inc., successfully developed our products in response to this need. By 2007, the U.S. Navy declared a Global War on Noise (GWON), placing a high priority on the deployment of better hearing protection products for its war fighters. Aegisound is now deploying a completely new line of products to meet the needs of Navy personnel. Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) combined with tinnitus, a chronic ringing in the ears, is now the number one disability reported by the Veterans Administration. Industrial workers exposed to extreme-noise, and tested in accordance with OSHA requirements, continue to lose their hearing.
As time passes, ever more powerful jet engines and heavy equipment are fielded in military and industrial environments. As our potential customers and customer base continue to grow, we remain committed to maximizing each customer’s daily safety and their future quality of life.
Aegisound is proud to be recognized as a leader in delivering quality products that provide superior performance and durability to our customers. We are fully dedicated to offering advanced solutions for hearing protection and high-end communications to customers in the most dangerous noise environments. Our products, experience, and research and development efforts are focused on continuous noise environments above 105 dB(a). Aegisound owns many patents for its technologies, and our products have been recognized in the marketplace for their durability, reliability, and overall quality.
